Skiing can be found in other areas in France!!

Lea Arcs

Said to be the ‘home of snowboard’,Les Arcs is a classic French resort with varied terrains and a good mixture of high slopes and low-level woodland runs. Les Arcs is famous for its speed-skiing track above Arc 2000, the setting over the years for a number of world records.

Les Arcs is ideal for families, intermediates and boarders abound. Whether you choose Les Arcs 2000, 1950, 1800 or 1650, there’s loads of long-descents and the link with La Plagne provides even more choice. A functional, purpose-built resort, ideal for mixed-ability groups – and it won’t cost the earth either, making it a ski holiday to remember.

Mont Jura

The Jura is the coldest area in France and although the mountains do not exceed 1700m, at 1000m altitude you will find as much snow as in the Alps at 1400m. Ski resorts cater for families and all levels of skiers and snowboarders and are an ideal place for children to start skiing, as they can roam around freely in villages and on the slopes. And if the slopes are not as long as their Alpine neighbours, the steepness and challenging conditions due to the cold weather makes them interesting, even for advanced skiers.
